Our Values

We shall be:

Framework for Kids and Media’s advice

Kids and Media will give qualified advice about children’s use of media. Our work is based on the following considerations in the development of our advice to parents and professionals who work with children and young people:

       - We will make sure that our advice is well founded on reflected consideration of our own experience and competency/ advice from other relevant partners.
       - In some cases, we choose to make use of advice from other relevant and reliable partners. We will make our sources transparent.        - We will not relate the obvious. The advice will be practically orientated.        - We will be prompt with advice when new phenomena or problems appear.
       - Advice we give will be updated in terms of technology, culture and ethics.        - Many of the problems Kids and Media gives advice about have no simple solution. We understand and respect the complexity associated with safe and informed use of digital media.
       - It can be relevant to make apparent different advice for different age groups.        - Kids and Media puts the user in focus
       - Our advice should be easy to understand for the everyday user. Understanding our advice should not require great technical ability.
