Outstanding fun for anyone with a hint of interest in cars and motor sports.

In ”Forza Motorsport 4”, you can choose from an amazing collection of cars and circuits; though, there are some annoying exceptions. This reviewer was looking forward to doing a lap on Nürburgring’s North loop in a Porsche 911, but he was greatly disappointed. Still, the available selection is impressive, and, in the career mode, you are rewarded with money, experience points and new cars aplenty. Tip: It might be a good idea to stick to specific brands of cars, as upgrades are made available for free from the manufacturer.

The game is a traditional racing game that takes place on different racing circuits all over the world. You can play in career mode, do online racing or ‘split screen’ competitions. The career mode is quite extensive and provides numerous challenges, even though, at times, it might seem a bit easy.

The level of difficulty determines the skills needed to win a race. On the easiest level, the car boosts, brakes and gears for you. On the most difficult level you have total control, which is horribly difficult. This feature provides challenges for all ages and levels of skill, while, at the same time, making it possible for the game to be played by anyone.

The graphics are excellent, and the idea of including the Top Gear test track equally so. Racing while listening to Jeremy Clarkson’s comments is quite fun, especially if you like the show.

On the negative side, the cars never really get damaged. No matter how severely you crash, it doesn’t really affect the cars' performance. On the other hand, this makes it more fun to crash into your opponents.

Get ready for hours of racing fun! The game comes highly recommended.
