Cyber bullying Tips

26.10.2009

Common Sense Media’s Cyber bullying video gives interesting facts and advice on cyber bullying.

However, they do advise that parents monitor children´s digital communication on mobile and Internet. Kids and Media believe children need alert parents, but not parents that spy on them. We suggest parents should keep a certain control over children´s media use, and that they would be wise to talk to their children about what they see and do, what they play, who they chat with on the mobile and online.

Parents should at the same time protect their children´s right to privacy, also online and through mobile use. Excessive supervision quickly leads to suspicion, bad communication and distance between parents and children. Kids and Media does not recommend software which gives parents the opportunity to monitor children´s PC and net use.
