An excellent choice for all Fifa and football fans.

Compared to the previous releases in the Fifa franchise, EA has done a better job personalising the game and making it more realistic. "Personality +" is probably the biggest improvement. With this feature, each player brings their own personality to the game. If a player has good ball skills and is good at passing, this will influence how he plays on the field.

In this release, all teams, players and fields have been improved in detail and become more sophisticated. In a new mode – ”Be a goalkeeper” – you can play as a goalkeeper on your selected team. You also have the possibility to play as an outfield player, as a player-coach, or simply as a coach. In order to increase your skill level, and earn enough money to develop your team, you need to play well and improve the team regularly. If you want, and have enough money, you may buy and sell players from all over the world.

A new passing system has also been implemented in the game. The accuracy of passes is decided by your skills using the controls, and by your ability to assess the situation on the field. “Fifa 11” has the same control system as previous games. However, in the “Be a goalkeeper” mode, the steering is slightly different.

Generally speaking, “Fifa 11” is an elegantly styled and well-made game. The selection of music is, as usual, excellent.

Child suitability:
Everyone can play “Fifa 11”, though; due to a layout that can be hard to understand, and, in part, complicated control mechanics, it might take some time to master the game. As well as this, the game requires that players have some general knowledge about football and the tactics of the sport. The game has a 3 year age limit; however, it is most suitable for children from 7 years of age.

Level of difficulty:

3-6 years: Complicated control mechanics make the game a bit too difficult for this age group.

7-11 years: Children from 7 years of age may have a lot of fun playing this game, especially when they master the different aspects of the game.

12+: This is one of the best football games available, and offers a lot of fun for football fans of all ages.

Suggested age: Suitable for children from 7 years.
