Crash: Mind Over Mutant

22.10.2009

The bandicoot Crash is back in yet another adventure where he has to fight his evil creator Cortex.

"Crash: Bandicoot" has for many years been a favourite with many. But in the last few years the adventures haven´t lived up to the expectations. Much of the initial platform adventure is gone, and it doesn´t create the same prerequisites for a fun game as earlier. On top of this the precision in the jumps has gotten weaker, and it´s difficult to see where you should go. The camera angles used are also very weak at times, which means deaths could have been avoided if you’d had a better perspective. But aside from these faults this is a game with good enough entertainment value and many challenges.

Child suitability:
Crash has always been a series of child friendly and positive games. But in the last few years Crash´s innocent spinning attacks have unfortunately been changed for punches and kicks. This was a totally unnecessary thing to do.

Score: 2

Suggested age: Suitable for children from 7 years.

Format: X-box 360, PlayStation 2, PSP (PlayStation Portable), Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS

PEGI: 7, violence
