My Sims Racing
20.01.2010
A good racing game for the little ones.
This game starts with a driving school. Here you learn to control the car on the track, which will prove to be very useful knowledge later in the game. After that you select a character to drive your chosen car. You can choose between three different sizes of cars: small, medium or large. The small car is easy to control and has quick acceleration. The medium sized car looses some of these abilities, but can take more. The largest car accelerates slowly and doesn’t turn as fast, but it can take a lot from its opponents. You choose cars according to what best suits your driving abilities. But regardless of what car you choose, you can improve it using upgrades. To upgrade the car and get it just the way you want it, you have to win races. As you go along you pick up weapons in the form of footballs that you can shoot at your opponents to slow them down. You can pick up boosters that make your car faster. A boost can make a big difference to your chance of winning. You will also find a few pumpkins along the way: if you run into these, a sticky residue is left behind you, which will slow your opponents down.
Child suitability:This is a good and simple game, and it’s not difficult to win races. For this reason it is excellent for young children. The very youngest will probably still like some help now and then, especially when building up their cars and doing things that require a more complex understanding of the game.
