De Blob

27.11.2009

Learn how to mix colours, and give the world colour together with Blob. This game has originality and playability like few other.

The whole thing starts when Comrade Black comes to earth and steals all the colours. It´s your mission to put colours in the world again. Comrade Black commandeers an army which does everything it can to prevent you from painting houses, bushes, road signs and so on. The control of Blob is simple and good. Even though it can be hard to control Blob while you move up the tallest buildings, you still get the feeling that you mustn´t give up. At certain places on the levels you find colours to roll in. After you do this everything you touch gets this colour. If you roll in several colours they mix, and a new colour is made. The graphics are in cartoon style, the characters are fun and the landscape is like a colouring book just waiting to be coloured. The music is well made, and fits the story. When you´ve played through the main game you can go into free colouring and paint areas you´ve previously visited. This adds to the life cycle of the game.

Child suitability:
The very youngest might get problems with some of the missions, but will nevertheless have fun with De Blob. If you´re after a game which can be played by the whole family, this is a good choice.
